Found cell phone

Last Sunday while walking home from church my husband found a cell phone on the ground in the Cobblestone park. It's a Motorola with Cingular. We have taken it to the church and left it in the lost and found.

What a great idea it would be over the next couple of weeks, to take out those old video movies and watch them as a family. We did it and our kids loved it, Colton told someone you have to see me as a baby I was sooooo chubby! Well needless to say we don't have any to submit but it was a very entertaining time seeing if we did.

Kids love to see themselves on TV!

Stretching Tomato Growing Season

When the first frost comes, if you still have tomatoes coming along, here's a very easy way to save them. No need to wrap each one in newspaper (which I did for a few years before anelderly neighbor told me what I'm about to tell you). If you have a dry basement or other unused space that will not freeze, simply pull up the tomato plants roots and all, shakeoff the dirt and hang them upside down so that none of the leaves touch the floor. The tomatoes continue to ripen very slowly, they do not rot, and you can easily see which ones are ripest without having to unwrap a bunch of newspaper.

Reminder : Party!!

Party 12-4 this Wednesday (9th) at the Devey's house (859 Cornerstone Lane). Everyone is invited! If you have children that aren't in school, they can come too; we'll have activities for them. Light refreshments and cardmaking supplies all provided! It will be a great opportunity to get to know each other better, just like we have tried to do in R.S. the past two Sundays. Hope to see you there :)
