Cobblestone Ward missionary moms! There is a great website for all the "old" and "new" missionary moms! It's missionsite.net and it's FREE! I set up a site for Andy not long after he left. It's a great way to have family and friends keep up on letters and pictures. Andy's site is http://www.missionsite.net/elderharrington/main - Also it will link you to other missionaries in your son or daughter's mission.
Sending a missionary out is a daunting task. The paperwork, shopping, packing is hard enough - but add the emotional part and it is overwhelming at times. There is an email support group it's http://www.ldsmissionarymoms.com/subscribe/ - This site will place you in an email group with other mm's in your child's mission.
Granted, not everyone needs the support, like I did!! I was surprised at my initial sadness when we took Andy to the airport, so I started to reach out for understanding. My personal experience was faith promoting and I found myself digging a little deeper into my testimony. My prayers were more meaningful and the has Lord blessed me beyond my own expectations.

A little about our Blog!
Welcome to our blog! Although this is not officially tied to the church, we hope it will be useful and enjoyable for all Cobblestone Ward Relief Society sisters, as well as close neighbors and friends. The name "cobblestoners" is not intended to be limiting to those in the Cobblestone development, but actually stands for Cobblestone R.S. (Relief Society). However, we welcome those within our ward boundaries to use this blog, whether they are members of the church or not. This is a non-commercial blog, to be used as a tool for communication. Some examples of possible posts are: "I'm looking for a good used bike under $100. Does anyone have one they're hoping to sell?" or "I found a fantastic deal on canned goods at..." or "I'm going to the temple/cannery/park. Does anyone want to go with me?" or "I found a great trick for growing tomatoes!..." or "I need a good book to take with me on a trip. Any ideas?" etc. Please do not post advertisements for your business on this blog; however, you may add a link to your business page. You may also add links to sites that you have found interesting and/or useful. Additionally, we do request that you only share this blog with those in our ward boundaries.
